The primary venue of the 2008 BG Triathlon World Championships is Stanley Park. Vancouver's first park and one of the city's main tourist attractions, Stanley Park is an evergreen oasis of 400 hectares (1,000 acres) close to the downtown core. There are many sites to visit and many activities to engage in for you and your family.
Tours and Siteseeing
Tours of Stanley Park are offered through AAA Horse and Carriage tours and Vancouver Trolley Co. Sites to visit include the Stanley Park Information Booth, Brockton Totem Pole Visitor Centre & Legends of the Moon, and Lost Lagoon.
Dining
Prospect Point Cafe, The Fish House, and the Sequoia Grill at the Teahouse offer delicious meals along with a fantastic view.
Activities
Walk, ride a bike, or rollerblade around the scenic seawall path, picnic at the many designated areas throughout the park, or partake in activities at the Children's Farmyard, Water Park, Second Beach Pool, and Stanley Park Tennis.
Gathering Spaces
The Stanley Park Pavillion, Brockton Cricket Pavillion, Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, and Vancouver Rowing Club are all ideal locations for team functions and meetings.
